The People Behind Biomedix

I’m a second-year Master’s student specialising in tissue engineering. I joined Biomedix to connect with fellow students and to contribute to a supportive and inspiring community. I’m excited to learn and grow, while helping to organize fun events that bring people together. Outside of my studies, you might find me on a tennis court, spending time with friends or wandering around the city.

I’m a second-year Biomedical Engineering Master’s student currently working in a breast cancer research lab for my thesis. Biomedical engineering has been my dream since I was 14, when I joined my older brother on a university tour and quickly realised just how boring business school sounded in comparison. In my free time, I love reading, ballroom dancing, watching Formula 1, and spending time with dogs… I really, really love dogs. As the treasurer of Biomedix, I’m looking forward to organising plenty of fun events while also taking on the very important task of keeping track of our finances!

I’m a second year Biomedical Engineering master student specializing in biomechanics. I joined Biomedix to connect with fellow biomedical engineering students, step outside of my comfort zone, and organize fun and inspiring events. In my free time, I like to stay active with sports, spend time with friends, or read a good book.

I’m a second year master student specializing in Biomedical Data Analytics, which I combine with a master in AI engineering. Alongside my studies, I enjoy working on side projects that allow me to broaden my skills and explore new challenges. That is also why I joined Biomedix, to develop new skills such as event organization, while at the same time showing other fellow students just how exciting and impactful the biomedical field can be.

Hi, I’m a second-year master’s student specializing in Biomedical Data Analytics. Besides my studies, I like to stay active, so you’ll often find me playing tennis or padel, or going for a run. I joined Biomedix because I enjoy connecting with fellow students and contributing to a community that shares a passion for innovation in the biomedical field. Fun fact about me: I’m half Italian, which explains my love for pizza and coffee 🇮🇹🇧🇪

Hi, I’m a lifelong student, who is enthusiastic about participating in different projects and being an active part of the academic environment, which is the main reason I joined biomedix. I’m currently in the second year of the masters of BME. I come from Madeira, Portugal, making thus Cristiano Ronaldo the second best export of the island. My mission as member of this organisation is to contribute to integrating biomedical engineering students into the program, enhancing the academic experience, and potentially helping in events that target strategic career development.

I’m pursuing a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Biomedical Data Analytics. In the first semester I’ll be on an Erasmus exchange in Stockholm.
As part of the Biomedix communication team, I help connect students, share experiences, and showcase biomedical engineering via engaging events and media. I'm excited for the year ahead to see what we can accomplish together. Outside of my studies, I enjoy reading, cycling, walking and playing the oboe.

I joined Biomedix to connect with other biomedical engineering students and get to know what it's like being part of a student committee - and of course help organizing fun events! Outside of my studies I like to read, try out new recipes or meet up with friends.

I'm a second-year Master’s student from Italy specializing in Biomedical Data Analytics. I joined Biomedix because I’ve never been part of a student committee before and wanted to see what goes on behind the scenes of organizing events. It’s been a great way to build practical skills that you don't get in a lecture hall, while also helping me integrate more into the Belgian student community.
Outside of my studies, most of my hobbies revolve around staying active—whether that's running, playing padel, or volleyball. When I'm taking it easy, I enjoy painting, or just catching up with friends over coffee or a glass of wine.
